Values for life
For more than three decades, the name »Miele DIE KÜCHE« represented the combination of state-of-the-art technology, experienced craftsmanship and a love of product perfection. WARENDORF is continuing this tradition. And, in doing so, sustaining those factors that have proven to make our kitchens so enduring: The folding production technique, for example, which allows carcase corners to be manufactured to the highest quality standards, thus ensuring their stability for years to come. The stringent criteria we apply when purchasing and selecting our wood ensure that it looks perfect when finished. And we implement elaborate testing methods for purposes of quality assurance that involve exposing the widest range of materials to extreme levels of stress that exceed those required by the standards. All of which are aimed at making our kitchens very special. Kitchens for people with personality. Now and for years to come.
Folding carcase
Thanks to a special folding procedure, Miele kitchen carcases are of the highest quality. The corner joints are mitred, and a buffer strip along the front edge not only enhances the appearance, but also ensures that the unit is carefully sealed against dust. An 8 mm back panel fitted into grooves in the unit walls ensures the units are extremely stable.
Quality lacquering
A total of five processes go into producing the high gloss lacquered surfaces of a Warendorf kitchen to ensure fronts are hard-wearing and easy to look after. Brilliance: Miele kitchens offer a hand-worked high gloss lacquered finish which gives an unrivalled depth and uniformity.
Thorough understanding of wood
A speciality from Warendorf kitchens: real wood fronts with graining matched along a run of units. This brings out the natural beauty of the wood and adds to the overall harmony of the kitchen.
Design
Warendorf kitchens have won national and international design awards demonstrating our ability to excel in design and innovation. These qualities illustrate the unique character of a Warendorf kitchen.

Awards  include the prestigious reddot best of the best, the iF product design award, the Designpreis and the Interior Innovation Award, the most valuable design prize in the interior design sector.

Tested for a long lifespan
Furniture and handles are placed in a climate chamber where the ageing process is simulated. By subjecting them to alternating extremes of cold air and heat for several days, the surface materials and adhesives are tested to the limit to find out how durable they would be in a real life situation.

Laminate surfaces are subjected to a one hour steam test to make sure they are able to stand up to the rigours of every-day kitchen life.

Front panels and worktops undergo special tests to establish their tolerance levels to 27 typical household substances. The materials are exposed to different test substances for varying lengths of time to establish their effect. Only the best materials then make it to the production line.

Warendorf kitchen worktops undergo several tests including one to test its heat-resistance. This test simulates a 180°C hot pan being placed on the surface.

A cross-hatch test is used to see how well the lacquer surface is bonded. A special knife with eight blades makes cuts at right angles to each other. The better the lacquer adhesion in the squares between the cuts, the better the result.

All materials and coatings undergo a special durability test.

The quality of adhesive used for worktop edging is tested by tearing off an edge. Thanks to a special adhesive that tolerates temperatures up to 90°C, Warendorf furniture achieves excellent results in this quality test.

To test how resistant a surface is to sunlight, the fronts are subjected to 200 hours under UV light. This simulates a lifespan of several years. For the fronts to pass the test they must show no or negligible colour deviation.

A water bath is used to subject edging to a moisture resistance test. This is particularly important for areas adjoining sinks and cooking appliances.

Special hardened metal is used in all highstress areas on fittings and hinges. The hinges used in Warendorf are far more durable than is required by the furniture industry standard test.

A thorough understanding of wood and a good eye for detail: to ensure the colour and grain are as uniform as possible, very strict criteria are used in the selection process for purchasing wood. The colour, grain and moisture content of the wood must meet the very stringent quality standards required for Warendorf kitchens in order to make it to the production process.

Midway system light panel
The niche becomes a showroom: decorative, well organised, functional. The innovative design of the midway system light panel for mood and work lighting has already won three awards. The flush-mounted glass creates a subtle mirror effect which remains visible even when the lighting is switched off. The light is conducted directly and without glare to the worktop by the reflector rear panel with fine horizontal grooves. The special feature of this novel concept is its extremely shallow depth of only 45 mm. A collection of top quality functional and decorative accessories made of carefully selected materials are available for the niche: A stainless steel rail with five hooks, a magnetic wooden knife holder, a wooden shelf with stainless steel rail, a ceramic herb planter and a utensil holder.
